The American Thoracic Society (ATS) has completed a major rebrand which includes a new logo design and an updated mission statement. The changes reflect the ATS’s leadership role in driving innovation in the respiratory space since 1905, the organization said.

It’s new mission is “To accelerate global innovation in the advancement of respiratory health through multidisciplinary collaboration, education, and advocacy.”

“While the new logo helps convey a modern, energetic society, the rebrand is about more than that. It is about fostering collaboration between specialists in all aspects of respiratory diseases – from research to prevention to treatment—all to improve patient health. And it will help our members take advantage of myriad opportunities to learn, network, and advance their careers,” said ATS President Lynn Schnapp, MD, ATSF.

Moving forward ATS activities will be organized into four main pillars of respiratory health:

  1. Leading Scientific Discovery
  2. Transforming Patient Care
  3. Impacting Global Health
  4. Advancing Professional Development.

“Members as well as professionals who have long engaged with [ATS], whether through its transformative international conference, its year-round educational opportunities, and its outstanding journals, can continue to look to the ATS for inspiration, support, and opportunity – the opportunity to advance their careers, share their voice, and make a difference,” the organization said.
