The American Lung Association in Tennessee announced that the 2019 LUNG FORCE Expo will focus on e-cigarette dangers, radon, mindless meditation for people with lung disease and more.

The LUNG FORCE Expo, set for November 22 at the Hilton Franklin Cool Springs, is designed for patients and healthcare professionals to learn more about the latest trends, resources and research surrounding lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma and other respiratory issues.

“By participating in the LUNG FORCE Expo, you are helping change what it means for people to live with lung disease,” Geneica Jones, health promotions specialist for the Lung Association, says in a statement. “Join us to learn important lung disease information, share a meaningful experience with others who are affected by lung disease, and care for yourself and others by expanding your lung disease knowledge.”

The event will feature some of the state’s leading experts in lung disease and lung cancer, including:

James Gray, MD, Provision Health
Healthcare professionals, as well as patients living with lung disease or lung cancer, and caregivers are invited to attend the event on November 22. The LUNG FORCE Expo Patient and Caregivers Program is at 9 a.m. and the Healthcare Professionals Program is at 7:30 a.m. Sponsors for this year’s event include the Hilton Franklin Cool Springs, St. Thomas Health, Tennessee Dept of Environment and Conservation, Bonded Filter Company and Home Medical Products.
