Researchers found that approximately 20% of surveyed respondents were misinformed about vaccinations, including 18% who believe vaccines cause autism.
A Northeastern University student was diagnosed with measles last week and health officials fear there may have been others exposed to the virus.
The Samoa measles epidemic has now killed 73 people and infected 5,267 as the government has extended the island’s state of emergency to Dec 29.
