The state of Louisiana plans to offer the SmartQuit app, a smoking cessation app, for free to pregnant women and those around them.
SmartQuit app, developed by 2Morrow, will soon be free for many people in Louisana thanks to a deal with that state’s health department.
SmartQuit was developed by Dr Jonathan Bricker, PhD, a behavioral scientist at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the University of Washington. The app uses acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in addition to the usual strategies for smoking cessation.
