Radiometer America Inc, Westlake, Ohio, relaunched its knowledge site about acute care testing (bloodgas.org) under a new name: acutecaretesting.org. The new name is intended to reflect three areas of change for the Web site: scope, usabilit,y and graphics, according to Anne Skurup, editor of the site.

“The biggest change is, of course, in the scope of our articles,” says Anne Skurup in a release from Radiometer. “When we started off in 2002 with bloodgas.org, our main focus was blood gas and blood-gas-related parameters. But as the years went on, we found ourselves increasingly dealing with other acute care testing topics adjacent to blood gas, such as tight glycemic control and cardiac markers.”

The site has more than 200 articles available and more than 17,000 registered users worldwide. Registration is free, and users can opt to subscribe to a quarterly electronic newsletter. Health care professionals from around the world supply content for the site.
