At this year’s American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Congress 2013, which takes place Nov 16-19 in Anaheim, Calif, Covidien will share its latest technology, celebrate its history, and earn recognition from AARC.

Throughout the duration of the 2013 meeting, Covidien will feature a number of innovations, including its new Capnostream® 20p capnography monitor, the Vital Sync™ virtual patient monitoring platform, and Shiley™ neonatal and pediatric cuffless tracheostomy tubes.

“Covidien is dedicated to developing trusted and leading-edge technologies to deliver the highest quality of care for patients. We are thrilled to be able to demonstrate these products at the AARC Congress 2013,” said James Willett, Vice President and General Manager, Respiratory Solutions at Covidien.

The company also will celebrate two significant milestones at AARC: the centennial anniversary of the Puritan Bennett™ brand and the 30-year anniversary of the Nellcor™ brand. The Covidien booth at AARC will display classic Puritan Bennett™ ventilators and Nellcor™ products along with the latest advancements in respiratory care.

To commemorate the anniversary of the Puritan Bennett brand, the company created an online museum of Puritan Bennett ventilators, where visitors can view the company’s legacy ventilators and share their stories of using these devices through the years.

And, for the 24th consecutive year, Covidien will receive the prestigious AARC Zenith Award, given annually to five respiratory care industry manufacturers and service organizations for their outstanding service.

“We are especially honored to receive the Zenith Award for the 24th consecutive year,” Willett adds. “This award is a testament to our ongoing contributions and commitment to the respiratory care profession.”
