SeQual Technologies Inc, San Diego, a developer of oxygen systems, announced today the commercial launch of its Eclipse Oxygen System. The Eclipse marks the debut of an oxygen system envisioned by SeQual Chairman and CEO Jim Bixby and his technology experts to meet the needs of an aging yet active generation. The Eclipse allows bedridden or home-bound patients to be ambulatory and to travel, freeing them from stationary home oxygen concentrators. “SeQual has a national reputation for making respiratory care easy and manageable for providers and patients,” said Ed Radtke, company co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing. “The Eclipse is a technological breakthrough, and we expect a rapid adoption in the commercial arena.”

Developed over 5 years at a cost of $12 million, the Eclipse Oxygen System weighs 17 pounds, has a retractable handle and wheels for mobility, and is about the size of a student’s backpack.
