SeQual Technologies Inc, a San Diego-based respiratory device manufacturer, has loaned 35 of its portable Eclipse® oxygen system units for use by wildfire evacuees at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

The 17-pound portable concentrator pulls oxygen from the air and delivers it in nearly pure form to those with breathing difficulties. The Eclipse is especially suited for disaster response, and units are available now for oxygen-dependent patients at the medical center at Gate A in Qualcomm Stadium.

A company manager, Mark Scott, was at the site from 3 PM to 6 PM Wednesday, October 24 to demonstrate how to use the Eclipse and answer questions.

A more detailed version of this story will appear in a future Respiratory Report.
