First launched in Europe and Asia-Pacific, ResMed’s Easy-Breathe technology arrives in America with the January 9 launch of the VPAP Auto bilevel device. Easy-Breathe technology combines a new motor with advanced software to make therapy nearly silent and comfortable. The dual-stage motor cuts device noise to less than 25 dB, according to the company.
Although the Easy-Breathe pressure profile was originally developed for ResMed’s advanced VPAP Adapt SV to deliver comfortable therapy to patients with complex sleep disorders, the same pressure profile is appropriate for all COPAP patients because it recreates patients’ natural breathing patterns.
