Mark Junge, a retired historian, writer, and photographer who is oxygen-dependent, will begin his journey by bike from San Francisco to Tijuana, Mexico. The journey, called “Mark’s Breathe Easy Tour,” is sponsored by SeQual Technologies in partnership with the American Lung Association of California and Seton Medical Center.

Junge suffers from blood clots in his lungs, which led to his daily dependence on oxygen. Junge will be utilizing SeQual’s Eclipse® 2 personal ambulatory oxygen system.

“Mark’s Breathe Easy Tour” is intended to raise awareness of chronic lung disease and to inspire oxygen-dependent people to continue living their lives through perseverance and utilization of today’s medical technology.

“I’m not letting lung disease slow me down. By conquering the California coast by bike with the help of my Eclipse portable oxygen device from SeQual, we are showing everyone that being on oxygen doesn’t make you home-bound. Everything starts with an idea. The rest is logistics,” says Junge.

Full details, including locations and dates that Junge will be riding through them are available online.
