Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine 2016

Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School will host Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine 2016 in Boston from April 24 to 28, 2016. The education course is designed to provide updates on best practices that are improving patient outcomes in pulmonary and critical care.
The objective of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine 2016 is to review subjects of major clinical importance in the fields of pulmonary medicine and intensive care. Common issues and conditions will be discussed along with current approaches to their diagnosis and management. The topics include a variety of intensive care issues such as sepsis, ARDS, and ventilator management as well as pulmonary issues such as lung transplantation, interstitial lung disease, COPD, pulmonary hypertension, cough, pleural disease, sleep apnea, pneumonia, tuberculous and non-tuberculous mycobacteria, asthma, the management of thromboembolism, and lung cancer.
The program features over 40 expert speakers with diverse teaching methodologies including lectures, case discussions, and Q&A, supplemented by extensive lecture notes, an accompanying bibliography, and informal meet-the-professor sessions. The topics are evidence based and will inform and inspire the participants to retain the newly acquired knowledge and incorporate it into their daily practice.
