Philips Respironics, Murrysville, Pa, has launched an online learning series for home respiratory and sleep therapy professionals. Presented by clinical researchers, physicians, respiratory therapists, or Philips Respironics experts, the Know How Webinars provide information on business and clinical issues, and products and programs.

Clinical sessions are designed for physicians, respiratory therapists, and sleep technologists and cover the latest findings in the field. Upcoming clinical webinars include a discussion of monitoring of COPD patient oxygen levels while in flight, use of automatic algorithms in homecare ventilation, and obstructive sleep apnea and related co-morbidities. Product webinars review Philips Respironics’ latest products and programs. Business webinars cover such topics as reimbursement guidelines, cost-saving strategies, and equipment selection.

“At a time when the sleep and home respiratory industry is facing a number of challenges, this program is the latest example of ways that we are reaching out to provide information on critical business and clinical issues,” said John Frank, vice president and general manager, Home Respiratory Care, Philips Home Healthcare Solutions. “The online format of Know How Webinars enables us to share information in a way that is timely and relevant.”

The webinars are presented live and include a question-and-answer session that enables participants to interact with the presenter. The session is then made available on-demand on the Know How website. The program is available free of charge.
