A novel study on the impact of supplemental oxygen prescription in pulmonary fibrosis will evaluate if or how the treatment affects patients.
The proposed study, “Protocol for a mixed-methods study of supplemental oxygen in pulmonary fibrosis” was published in the journal BMC Pulmonary Medicine by a research team at National Jewish Health.
Researchers will interview caregivers and clinicians as well as enroll 300 pulmonary fibrosis patients that do not use daily supplemental oxygen in a longitudinal pre-/post- study.
