A new online asthma exhibition takes viewers on an interesting adventure through the medical and human history of asthma. This is not a typical medical site, but, rather, a virtual asthma museum. On the site, viewers will find the stories of asthmatics from all walks of life—literary figures, politicians, medical professionals, and athletes. Not only that, but the site also features an easy-to-understand history of asthma research. For visitors interested in various asthma resources, the site offers links to numerous organizations dedicated to providing asthma information and supporting research and education.

The site was created by the National Library of Medicine in collaboration with the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute; the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
