Oregon State University researchers are warning parents of the dangers to children’s respiratory health when using gas stoves without proper ventilation.

The study found that when these families used an exhaust fan or other ventilation while the stove was on, their children were 32 percent less likely to have asthma, 38 percent less likely to have bronchitis and 39 percent less likely to have wheezing than children whose families did not use ventilation.
