Cleveland Clinic will host the 17th World Congress for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WCBIP) and the 17th World Congress for Bronchoesophagology (WCBE) next week. Approximately 700 pulmonary experts from 42 countries are expected to attend the two events where they will have the opportunity to increase their knowledge on bronchoscopy procedures and gain insight on clinical room design from Cleveland Clinic.
A number of Cleveland Clinic physicians will speak at the events, including Sumita Khatri, MD, co-director of Cleveland Clinic’s Asthma Center, who will speak about treating severe asthma with bronchial thermoplasty; Thomas Gildea, MD, and Michael Machuzak, MD, who will discuss novel techniques in re-shaping stents for improved airflow through the trachea in complex patient cases; and Michael Benninger, MD, chairman of the Head & Neck Institute at the Cleveland Clinic, who will co-chair a discussion on abnormal narrowing in central airway passages.
Both evens will be held at from June 15 to 18, at the Renaissance Hotel in Cleveland.
