The American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is asking respiratory therapists to participate in a national clinical alarms survey conducted by the Healthcare Technology Foundation (HTF).

The HTF conducted a similar survey in 2006, receiving over 1,300 responses from health care personnel. HTF is conducting the same survey again to determine changes in the perception of clinical alarm issues, improvements made at facilities, and priorities for future action, according to a AARC letter to members.

The survey is open until September 7, 2011.
